A set of Lifetime Species Lists for some of the wildlife I have seen and the nature reserves I have visited. As the Chinese Proverb says - "The beginning of wisdom is to call things by their proper names".

Butterflies at The Willows
So far I have seen 11 species of butterfly in the garden at The Willows:-
Holly Blue, Meadow Brown, Speckled Wood, Comma, Small Tortoiseshell, Red Admiral, Peacock, Orange Tip, Large White, Small White, and Green-veined White.
I really like this site. The photo reminds me of the buddleja (aka 'butterfly bush') in my garden - a haven for the peacock species this particular summer. All the best Mark
